Finally - Snow!!

I posted at Christmas that we got sleds and snow clothes from Santa and hadn't gotten to use them yet. We finally got to use them February 28Th. We may get to use them again this weekend. I didn't take any pics in the month of March. I guess we didn't do anything exciting. More in April!

Jake starring as Gene Bicknell

For Kansas Day this year Jacob's class had to write a paper about a famous Kansan so he picked Gene Bicknell (a few of you know him). We emailed Rita and Gene and they sent us some helpful information and mom loaned him a few of dad's golf tournament clothes and we got him a pizza box. He was so cute and had a lot of fun learning about someone that he actually knows. Thanks Rita and Gene for all your help!

Basketball

Cody and Jake both played Saturday morning basketball again this year. Cody also played YMCA basketball which was an eye opener for us. It's full court with fouls called and free throw shots. It was amazing to watch the progress in Cody's Y team. Next year will be even better. Saturday morning basketball is more about having fun and learning fundamentals and getting some exercise in the winter. For some reason I don't have any pics of Y basketball. Some day I will learn how to load video and will share that. On to baseball - my favorite sport!

Cody's present

Cody received this from Mom and Dad (grandma & grandpa) for Christmas. It's a Knex roller coaster you place the balls on the conveyor and they roll down the coaster. It took him about 16 hours to build this. It was all I could do to get him to stop to eat and sleep. He's very determined. He asked for this years ago when we lived in the old house and I told him we didn't have room for it. Seems he remembered me telling him he could get one in the new house and held me to it. Lesson learned ...they never forget!

So I haven't blogged in awhile....

Sorry I haven't blogged in awhile, I can't believe April 1st is approaching. I guess my only excuse is that I'm all ways on face book. It's addicting. I will try to do better :)

Christmas at mom and dad's

Dad decked mom out in new KU stuff this year.

We gave mom and dad a night in the Senate Suites hot tub room from the grands. They are both excited to use it.
